The Detroit Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is a local organization within the national LISC network. National LISC, founded in 1980, is the largest national community development intermediary, combining corporate, government, and philanthropic resources to help community-based organizations revitalize their neighborhoods.
As a community development intermediary, LISC aggregates capital – loans, equity and grants – to invest in neighborhood development projects. More than just financing, LISC supports community based organizations with technical and management assistance and local, statewide and national policy support.
