Ten businesses along the Van Dyke corridor have completed façade improvements with the assistance of matching funds grants from the Van Dyke-8 Mile Gateway Collaborative and the Detroit Local Initiatives Support Corp.

The façade improvement program represents an approximate $500,000 investment in the corridor, according to statements released Wednesday by the organizations.

Participating businesses were Center Line-based Stosh’s Pizza, Nortown Community Development Corp. and Van Dyke Dental in Detroit, and Good-N-Plenty Resale, Michigan Maintenance, Nono’s Pizza, Prop Shop Hobbies, Regal Tire & Sun Shade Window Tinting and Miller’s Party Store in Warren.

The companies will celebrate the improvements at a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting event Thursday morning at the Owen Jax Recreation Center in Warren.
